A Day to Remember

Ceannt Fort’s big day of celebration on September 10th to mark its 100th anniversary was a huge success. The sun came out and residents old and new, many of whom hadn’t seen each other in years got a chance to catch up and reminisce.

Local historian Lindy Taylor gave an informative and entertaining talk on the history of the area and the large crowd were treated to fantastic live music courtesy of the St. James’s Brass & Reed Band and our very own Josh Johnston and his jazz band.

The youngsters had fun too with the bottom car park given over to face painting, giant Jenga and Connect 4. The Ceannt Fort 100 committee would like to thank everyone who came along and joined in the celebrations.
